NBA results Tuesday 3 November 2026: AI predictions review

The models went into Tuesday's fifteen-game slate with high confidence and came out with a record of 11 of 15 correct. That is a solid night by any measure, but it was not a clean sweep: four calls went down, and two of those had every one of the ten models on the wrong side.

The biggest surprise of the night came in Memphis, where the Grizzlies and Pelicans played out a 135-134 thriller. The consensus had Memphis winning unanimously with an average confidence of 66 per cent and a most common score of 119-112. The Pelicans won by a point, and the models had no answer. Dallas's 115-100 defeat to Sacramento, also a unanimous pick at 62 per cent, was the other clean miss.

Fifteen games, eleven correct calls, and four that slipped through.

Where the AI got it right

The Cavaliers and Thunder produced the tightest right call of the night. Ten models split 60-40 for Oklahoma City, with an average confidence of just 59 per cent and a most common score of 117-109. Charlotte's 124-91 collapse against Detroit was the models' most emphatic success. All ten backed the Pistons with an average confidence of 68 per cent, and the most common score of 112-113 underestimated only the margin, not the outcome. Charlotte Hornets vs Detroit Pistons prediction

Indiana's 108-104 loss to Atlanta was a unanimous pick at 59 per cent average confidence, and the models read the close finish correctly even if the projected score of 118-119 ran a little high. Indiana Pacers vs Atlanta Hawks prediction

The Knicks' 103-90 win over Brooklyn was called by all ten models at 62 per cent, with a most common score of 112-108. The real margin was wider than projected, but the direction was never in doubt. New York Knicks vs Brooklyn Nets prediction

Where it got it wrong

Dallas Mavericks 100-115 Sacramento Kings. Every one of the ten models backed Dallas, with an average confidence of 62 per cent and a most common score of 114-106. The Kings won by fifteen. This was not a coin-flip that fell the wrong way; it was a unanimous call that the scoreboard contradicted outright.

Memphis Grizzlies 134-135 New Orleans Pelicans. The models were unanimous again, at 66 per cent average confidence, projecting 119-112. A one-point Pelicans win is the kind of result that exposes how narrow the gap between a confident projection and a real game can be.

Denver Nuggets 110-118 Portland Trail Blazers. The only split miss of the night: six of ten models favoured Denver, at 58 per cent average confidence, with a most common score of 119-114. Portland won by eight.

Golden State Warriors 116-113 Phoenix Suns. Eight of ten models picked Phoenix at 57 per cent average confidence, projecting 114-118. The Warriors edged it by three, the models' lowest-confidence miss of the day.

Models of the day

Best: MiMo V2.6 Pro, 13 of 15. Two clear calls ahead of the field, and the only model to reach thirteen on a night when the consensus itself scored eleven.

Worst: GLM 5.3, 9 of 15. Two below the consensus record, and the only model to finish under ten correct.

Claude Sonnet 5.5 and DeepSeek V4 Pro both finished 12 of 15. GPT-6 Luna, Mistral Medium 3.5, Qwen 3.8 Max and Grok 4.7 each matched the consensus at 11 of 15. Gemini 3.8 Flash, Kimi K3 and Meta Muse Spark 1.3 finished 10 of 15.
