Hockey results Friday 6 November 2026: the 10-model AI consensus went 8 of 11 across an 11-game NHL slate. Rangers, Lightning and Bruins landed; Stars…
Friday 6 November 2026 produced an 11-game NHL slate, and the 10-model TuringStats consensus came out of it with 8 of 11 correct. The headline number is solid rather than spectacular: eight winning picks, three misses, and a set of confidence readings that show the models were rarely emphatic even when they agreed unanimously.
The biggest surprise arrived in Edmonton, where the Oilers were the unanimous choice of all 10 models and fell 5-4 to Anaheim. Columbus provided the second shock, beating Dallas 2-1 despite every model backing the Stars. Colorado's 3-2 home defeat to Nashville completed the damage.

Full time on an 11-game NHL slate that the 10-model consensus read 8 of 11.
Where the AI got it right
The New York Rangers vs Philadelphia Flyers prediction came in with all 10 models on the Rangers and a most common score of 4-2. The actual finish was tighter at 3-2, but the winner was right and the average confidence of 58% reflected a game expected to be close.
The Tampa Bay Lightning vs Chicago Blackhawks prediction was one of the day's cleaner calls. Unanimous among the 10 models with a 4-2 modal score, Tampa Bay delivered a 4-1 win. The 59% average confidence was the models hedging on margin rather than on the result.
The Pittsburgh Penguins vs Boston Bruins prediction was not unanimous, with 80% of models on Boston and a most common score of 2-3. The Bruins won 6-2, a wider margin than anyone forecast, but the direction was correct at 55% average confidence.
The New York Islanders vs Carolina Hurricanes prediction held up as a 5-3 Carolina win, matching the unanimous pick and the 3-4 modal score closely enough. At 60% average confidence it was among the more assertive calls of the night.
The Winnipeg Jets vs Vancouver Canucks prediction went the way of all 10 models, though the 6-2 scoreline ran well past the 3-2 most common forecast. Winnipeg's win was the correct outcome at 59% average confidence.
Where it got it wrong
Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 Dallas Stars was the first crack. All 10 models backed Dallas, with a most common score of 3-4 and 57% average confidence. The Stars never reached three goals, and the Blue Jackets took it by a single goal.
Edmonton Oilers 4-5 Anaheim Ducks was the costliest miss in consensus terms. A unanimous Edmonton pick, a 4-2 modal score and 61% average confidence — the highest of any match on the slate — were all overturned by a one-goal Anaheim win. Four goals for the Oilers matched the forecast; the fifth against did not.
Colorado Avalanche 2-3 Nashville Predators was the least certain call of the day and the one the models split on. Only 50% of the 10 backed Colorado, with a most common score of 4-3 and 57% average confidence. The Predators won by a goal, and the split consensus had already flagged the risk.
Models of the day
Five models shared top billing with 9 of 11 correct: Qwen 3.8 Max, MiMo V2.6 Pro, Grok 4.7, GLM 5.3 and Meta Muse Spark 1.3. Each avoided two of the three misses that undid the broader consensus.
Three models finished on 8 of 11: GPT-6 Luna, Gemini 3.8 Flash and Kimi K3, matching the consensus record exactly. At the bottom, Claude Sonnet 5.5 and DeepSeek V4 Pro each finished 7 of 11, one worse than the group average.
