AI Football Predictions Correct Score Yesterday: Every Pick Checked Against the Final Score
See yesterday's AI football predictions next to the final scores, misses included. What a normal day looks like for an honest AI (about 49% results, 1 in 10 exact scores) and why checking yesterday is the best way to judge any prediction site.
Most prediction sites love talking about today's tips. Very few want to talk about yesterday's. We think yesterday is the most useful page of all: it is where you find out whether a prediction source is any good. This article explains how to check AI football predictions against yesterday's correct scores, and what a normal day for an honest AI looks like.
Yesterday's AI football predictions, graded
Our AI football predictions yesterday page lists every match from the previous day. For each one you see:
- the final score;
- which result the AI panel picked before kickoff and how many of the ten models backed it;
- whether that pick was right or wrong;
- the AI's predicted score, with a clear mark when it matched the correct score exactly.
At the top of the page is the day's record: how many results the panel got right and how many exact scores it hit. Misses are shown alongside the hits. That is the point.
What a normal day looks like
Across 1,149 graded matches from April to October 2026, a typical AI record looks like this:
- Result (1X2): the panel majority is right about 49% of the time, against 33% for a random guess and 45% for always backing the home team.
- Unanimous picks: when all ten models agree, about 62% are right.
- Correct score: about 1 match in 10. The best model, Gemini 3.8 Flash, managed 11.3%.
So on a day with 30 matches, an honest result might be 14 or 15 correct results and two to four exact scores. Some days are much better and some much worse. Football is noisy, and a single day tells you little. A month of yesterdays tells you a lot.
Why checking yesterday's correct scores matters
Any site can post ten confident correct score tips. If it never shows what happened next, you have no way to judge it. Checking yesterday protects you from three common tricks:
- Survivorship: showing only the tips that won and quietly deleting the rest.
- Moving goalposts: calling a 2-1 tip "correct" because the winner was right.
- Too few games: boasting about a perfect weekend built on three matches.
Our numbers include every graded fixture and every model, and the long-run record for each model sits on the AI prediction leaderboard.
What yesterday's results teach about AI predictions
AI predicts too few goals
Matches averaged 3.0 goals, but AI predicted scores averaged 2.25. When yesterday's page shows a 3-2 or 4-1 that nobody saw coming, that is not bad luck alone; it is a known bias.
Agreement matters for the winner, not for the score
When the models agree on the winner, the pick is much more reliable. When they agree on the exact score, it is no more likely to land than usual.
High confidence is earned
Picks made at 70% confidence or higher were right about three times in four. If yesterday's misses were mostly low-confidence picks, the system was working as it should.
