NBA results Thursday 15 October 2026: AI predictions review
AI models called only 2 of 6 NBA games correctly on Thursday 15 October 2026. See where the consensus triumphed and where it missed badly.
Thursday 15 October 2026 produced a sobering night for the AI consensus, with only 2 of 6 NBA games called correctly. The models had been confident on five of the six matchups, yet three of those confident picks ended in defeat, and one unanimous selection was overturned by a 21-point margin.
The biggest surprise came in Milwaukee, where all 10 models backed the Bucks to beat the Chicago Bulls. Instead, the Bulls ran out 125-104 winners, handing the consensus its most emphatic miss of the day.

A night of upsets saw the AI consensus struggle.
Where the AI got it right
The San Antonio Spurs were the only team to reward the models' faith with a comfortable victory. A 90% consensus favoured the Spurs, and they delivered a 123-103 win over the Phoenix Suns. The most common predicted score was 112-108, so the actual margin exceeded even the models' expectations.

The New York Knicks also validated the 90% consensus, edging the Toronto Raptors 122-120. The models had projected a 113-106 Knicks win, making the final score tighter than anticipated, but the result was correct.

Where it got it wrong
Four games slipped away from the consensus, each with a different flavour of disappointment.
In Dallas, 70% of models picked the Mavericks to beat the New Orleans Pelicans. The most common scoreline was a 116-115 Pelicans win, but the actual result was a 101-97 Pelicans victory, leaving the majority on the wrong side.
Milwaukee was the scene of the day's most shocking upset. All 10 models (100%) backed the Bucks, with a predicted 118-110 win. Instead, the Chicago Bulls dominated 125-104, a 21-point swing that no model saw coming.
Minnesota suffered a similar fate, with 90% of models favouring the Timberwolves over the Detroit Pistons. The consensus score was 108-101 Minnesota, but Detroit cruised to a 128-106 win.
Finally, the LA Clippers defied a 90% consensus that favoured the Denver Nuggets. The models had projected a narrow 109-108 Nuggets win, but the Clippers won 122-110, a double-digit margin that left the consensus red-faced.
